| 7/30/2024 | Football BOCA RATON, Fla. – Nicholas Marino, a Florida Atlantic sixth-year senior long snapper, is one of 30 collegiate players nationally named to The Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List, as announced by the organization on Monday. Marino came to the Owls in the fall of 2019 from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and became Florida Atlantic’s starting long snapper in the fall of 2020, a role he has served for 45 consecutive games. Marino has 11 career tackles and handles both the punt, extra point, and field goal snapping duties. This year’s recognition will be the sixth The Parick Mannelly Award issued to the country’s best long snapper. The award’s ten finalists will be announced on November 11, 2024. A list of three semifinalists will be announced on November 25, 2024, and the winner will be selected at a live ceremony in Lake Bluff, Illinois, on December 14, 2024.
