| BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University has inked a home-and-home series with in-state foe UCF, including a game at FAU Stadium in 2022. The Owls have also added first-time opponent Southeastern Louisiana to round out the 2022 non-conference slate. The Owls are scheduled to open 2022 at Ohio University on Sept. 3 and will then open the home schedule with a Sept. 10 contest versus Southeastern Louisiana, before welcoming UCF to Howard Schnellenberger Field for the second time in program history on Sept. 17. FAU will complete its 2022 non-conference schedule on the road at Purdue on Sept. 24. As part of the series vs. the Knights, the Owls will make the return trip to UCF on Sept. 13, 2025. FAU and UCF have met three times previously. The first was in 2003, just the third season for the then-fledgling FAU program, with the game played at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. The second matchup was on campus at UCF in 2018, with the most recent meeting at FAU Stadium in 2019. |
