BOCA RATON, Fla. – (March 7, 2020) – The Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team will face Old Dominion in the first round of the 2020 Air Force Reserve C-USA Basketball Championships presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The matchup is set for Wednesday, March 11 at 7 p.m. Eastern and will be streamed on ESPN+.
With an 8-10 C-USA record, FAU (16-15 overall) is the no. 9 seed, while the Monarchs (13-18, 9-9 C-USA)) will be the no. 8 seed. The winner of Wednesday’s game will move on to face regular season champion North Texas at 7 p.m. Eastern on Thursday.
The two teams will face off for the third time this season. ODU won both regular season meetings, defeating the Owls 65-55 in Norfolk on Jan. 25 and winning the rematch, which was also in Norfolk, 85-80, in overtime as part of Bonus Play.
