BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University’s athletics department concluded the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2023, with totals more than doubling the previous year’s fundraising efforts, announced FAU’s vice president and director of athletics Brian White, on Thursday.
FAU athletics raised $15.3 million dollars and gained 503 new donors between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023. Not only was 2022-23 a banner year with seven gifts totaling six or seven figures, but it also closed out a five-year span accumulating a total of 30 six or seven figure gifts since 2018, a record number over any previous five-year span.
“We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible generosity of our donors,” said vice president and director of athletics Brian White. “Their philanthropic contributions have become the cornerstone of our success. Our donors have invested not only in our student-athletes, but also in the vision of our athletics department. This generosity helps us provide a first-class experience for our student-athletes, coaches and administrators. We can’t thank our donors enough for their support. I would also like to thank our Paradise Club team, under the leadership of Michael Graffin and his exceptional team of Alvin Hines and Haiden Nagel, who have worked tirelessly to make this happen.”
HOW CAN I HELP
There are numerous ways to support FAU athletics as showcased in the variety of gifts received over the course of the 2022-23 fiscal year. FAU athletics received transformational gifts which help renovate and enhances athletics’ facilities, and accepted gift commitments to elevate student-athlete experiences through the Paradise Club/Investors Society.
New in 2023, the Investors Society is a philanthropic giving society exclusively for those who make a five-year commitment of $25,000 or more to the Paradise Club. The mission of the Investors Society is to provide championship resources for our student-athletes as we develop future leaders and deliver an exceptional student-athlete experience. Additionally, the mission is to position FAU athletics for conference championships and to gain national prominence.
This philanthropic society will be devoted towards delivering critical financial support enhancing the experiences of our current and future student-athletes. It is essential to recruit, retain and develop extraordinary student-athletes, coaches and staff who are dedicated to propelling Florida Atlantic into a new era.
