I hope everyone enjoyed there Memorial Day Weekend.
Hockey is in the air as we are getting close to the Stanley Cup finals. It’s also very exciting in North Carolina as well as new owner Tom Dundon, The Owner of the Carolina Hurricanes made it deep in the playoffs after missing the four previous years.
Great story but their minor league affiliate the Charlotte Checkers made it to the Calder Finals.
It’s the minor league version of the Stanley Cup finals and it’s the first time in their long history they ever made it. Great news for both organizations.
Hockey has really grown.
It was primarily a Canadian sport and all the best athletes came from either Canada or Russia.
It’s been decades since a Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup! It’s amazing. A team in Las Vegas of all places made it to the finals and almost won it in there first season.
Wayne Gretzky to me was responsible for bringing the NHL to the west coast. Now you see teams in Arizona, Anaheim, San Jose, Las Vegas! When the first one was traded to Los Angeles from Edmonton it changed Hockey forever and the league is thriving because of that massive trade.
I guess I shouldn’t be saying pass the Molson maybe pass the Budweiser! Until next time everyone!
