Fans can link payment cards to Pistons Rewards program to earn points redeemable for Pistons experiences, memorabilia and more
DETROIT – July 7, 2025 – The Detroit Pistons announced today the launch of their new fan engagement program, Pistons Rewards, in partnership with the fan rewards platform, Uptop.
Designed to reward the loyalty of Detroit basketball fans through everyday purchases, Pistons Rewards gives fans the opportunity to earn “Pistons points” from transactions like grocery stores, restaurants, and more. Once fans have earned points, they can be redeemed for exclusive team prizes, such as VIP experiences, tickets, merchandise, and memorabilia.
“At our core, we’re in the memory-making business — and Pistons Rewards is another way we’re delivering unforgettable moments to our fans,” said Dan Lefton, Chief Revenue Officer for the Detroit Pistons. “This program allows us to engage in meaningful ways beyond the arena, turning everyday purchases into exclusive experiences and deeper connections with our team, our players, and the Pistons community.”
The Pistons Rewards program will officially launch in October in conjunction with the Detroit Pistons first home contest. Early registration is available now at Pistons.com/Rewards. Fans who sign up prior to the official launch will receive 3,000 bonus points and will be entered to win two (2) tickets to the Pistons 2025 home opener at Little Caesars Arena.
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand our footprint in the NBA with the Pistons. Detroit has a storied franchise – and its timelessness is evident in its fanbase’s unwavering loyalty,” said Ross Basri, co-founder of Uptop. “We’re equally excited to showcase the scalability of Uptop’s tech stack that led to our early success in Cleveland – including open banking, digital wallets, and receipt scanning, all powered by the Avalanche network. Both fans and the Pistons’ corporate partners will love the value we plan to bring to this initiative.”
