The Detroit Football Lions, if you want to call what they played on Sunday Football.
They played possibly the worst game since the Seahawks last year. The Offense and defense were predictable and uninspired. I blame the coaching, lack of talent, and the team played with no sense of urgency.
Evidently, while signing a new field goal kicker. Dan Campbell proved he has no trust in him one of the best punters in the NFL. Singing Michael Badgely an 80% career FG kicker with a long of 59. And Jack Fox who consistently pins offenses inside the 20 yard line. He had the Lions go 0 for 6 in 4th down conversions. 4 of those should have been FG attempts (IMO). The inherent 2 punts. But no, while saying he’d be more conservative this week. He did the exact opposite. Forcing the defense, who still is struggling mightily to stop anyone. Ultimately lead to the New England Patriots best offensive output of the season, scoring 29 points.
We managed to get to the inherent side of the 50 6 times. 2 times in the red zone to walk away without a single point scored. This does not bode well for a successful season. Good thing they are headed into the bye week. Which coincidently is favored by the Lions by a 14.5 point spread.
Something has to change with this before he loses the locker room completely. A lot of us bought in on the Lions with them being in Hard Knocks. The Kool-Aid was flowing heavily with fans and the National Media. But, this game has made a sour drink to take at this time.
