Oakland Park opens Community Center From David Volz The City of Oakland Park held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new North Andrews Gardens Community Center on Friday, October 20th, 2023. The spectacular new facility at 250 NE 56th Court represents an investment of $6 million and includes a new community center with outdoor covered seating, a playground, a basketball court, public parking, lighting, and landscaping.“We want to thank everyone who joined us at the ribbon-cutting celebration! If you were not able to join us, we invite you to visit the park to see the beautiful new facility in person. The grand opening represents a major milestone for the City, as the first brand new building completed under the Building Our 2nd Century bond initiative to construct and renovate several facilities in Oakland Park. Sixty-seven percent of voters approved the bond in 2018, which is helping to deliver exceptional amenities to the community, including City Park at 3900 Park Lane and the new Fire Station 9 under construction on Park Lane East and NE 6th Avenue,” Oakland Park City Statement. |
