Coral Springs hosts 2gether@Sunset

A night of country music, fellowship and dinners from food trucks were back in Coral Springs. 2gether@Sunset Country Music Concert was the first event since the beginning of the pandemic at Sportsplex Park on the evening of May29. Those who came could eat dinner and enjoy the concert in social distanced pods. Families and groups of friends enjoyed a night out, good food and the chance to spend time together in a pleasant atmosphere.

Early in the evening, people enjoyed some line dancing and a performance by a DJ. Then members of the School of Rock sang. Emily Brooke, a country musician performed. And then the Tom Jackson Band performed.

Noel Brown enjoyed the night  “We are having a good time. This is a nice event,” she said.

Carolina Anthony enjoyed a night with her family. “We have a good time,” she said.

Coral Springs Commissioner Joy Carter and some of her friends got dinner from food trucks and listened to the concert. “I am having a nice evening with my friends and neighbors,” she said.

Jana Werksman of Coral Springs led the event. “This is our first event since the pandemic. We wanted to have a country music theme. People are getting together to have a good time,” she said.

As the pandemic subsides, Coral Springs will host more events.
