Kickoff Notes
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University Hagerty Head Coach Willie Taggart, quarterback N’Kosi Perry and safety Teja Young will travel to Arlington, Texas for the 2022 Ryan Conference USA Football Kickoff Media Days, scheduled for July 26 and 27.
The Owls, who are predicted to finish fourth by league coaches and members of the media, are scheduled to appear live on ESPN+ on Wednesday, July 27 at 11 a.m. EST. John Schriffen will serve as show host to both coach Taggart and the players. The Owls will meet with several additional media outlets while in Arlington before heading home to open 2022 preseason camp that night. Opening preseason practice on July 27 marks the earliest FAU has begun preparation, and it will be the first time the Owls have done so under the lights.
The week will continue for FAU, who will then host Owlpalooza, Saturday, July 30 at 12:30 p.m. Owl fans are encouraged to attend the viewing session as well as join in on the autograph session that will follow practice. Individuals and coaches from FAU men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball will be on hand to meet and greet as well as host activities. Owlpalooza is free and open to the public.
SEASON OPENER
FAU will open the 2022 season on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, versus Charlotte at FAU Stadium. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. and will be televised on CBSSN and will air locally on Sports640 AM South Florida.
