Ignasi Lupon Fores, a forward from Spain, is the latest addition to a talented recruiting class
TAMPA, MAY 23, 2019- The USF men’s soccer team is excited to welcome Ignasi Lupon Fores to the 2019 roster after receiving a National Letter of Intent from the forward.
Lupon Fores hails from Barcelona, Spain, and plays for CE Europa U19 team in Division de Honor, the highest amateur level in Spain. The proven striker is the youngest player on his team, which is one of the most established and competitive clubs in Barcelona.
“We believe Ignasi will be an outstanding complement to our attacking options,” head coach Bob Butehorn said. “He creates scoring opportunities with his high level of competitiveness, determination and the quality of his ideas in the final third.”
Lupon Fores will join fellow incoming freshmen Vinicius Loureiro, Salvatore Mazzaferro, Sergio Pinero-Mayorga, Cooper Blay, Braden Ammon, and Victor Claudel in fall 2019.

The Bulls concluded the 2018 regular season with a 7-8-2 overall record and American Athletic Conference 4-1-2 mark. Senior striker Tomasz Skublak was named first team all-conference while junior midfielder Alex Zis was named second team all-conference. Avionne Flanagan, a sophomore defender was named second team all-conference, while Henrique Gallina, freshman defender, was named to the All-Rookie team.
Head Coach Bob Butehorn returns to lead the Bulls in his third season at the helm.
