The two games in Sweden is what the Bolts needed to get back on the winning track. In both games the Sabres started out a blazing giving both Vasilevsky and McEhnnery a shot face crazy but both times only coming out with a goal in that flurry.
Pat Maroon in the 2nd game almost had a hat trick by scoring in the 1st and the other one in the 2nd and Shattenkirk our other offseason signee got another two assists to extend his assist streak to 4 games.
Victor Hedman came back from injury in the first game and definitely changed the way the bolts had played defense when he was out. His presence on the ice was indeed missed and the Bolts couldn’t be anymore happier he’s back.
With that sweep of the Sabres in Sweden the Bolts are now a game behind them for 6th in the Atlantic Division. Even though we looked better defensively and better on the power play there is two things we still need to work on as a team and that.is one be more consistent with our play and two we still have to work on limiting on penalties.
Hopefully these two games in Sweden helped the Bolts get back on the winning track as tomorrow night they take on the Rangers and Saturday against the Canucks all at home in Amalie.
