| 1/22/2025 | Baseball BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic sophomore pitcher Trey Beard has been named to the Perfect Game Preseason All-AAC Team. The lefty from Dunedin, Fla., was one of four starting pitchers on the 16-man team. Beard is expected to take on an increased role in his second season after a stellar debut campaign. In 2024, he was named to the AAC All-Freshman team after making 15 starts on the mound. Beard struck out five or more eight times and didn’t allow more than two earned runs in eight of his appearances/starts. He started in the AAC Tournament in an elimination game vs. UTSA and delivered five strong innings to earn the victory in the 12-5 win.
