‘Fall Stars Game” will Broadcast LIVE on MLB Network
and Stream LIVE on MLB.com and the MLB app
TEMPE, ARIZONA – The Arizona Fall League (AFL) today announced the rosters for the 18th Fall Stars Game, which will be played at 6:00 p.m. MT (8:00 p.m. ET) on Saturday, November 9th at Sloan Park. A combination of scouts, AFL staff and national baseball reporters selected the players for the annual showcase of baseball’s future stars from their respective American and National League organizations. The Fall Stars Game will air LIVE on MLB Network and stream LIVE on MLB.com with seven-year Major League left-handed pitcher Steven Brault (play-by-play), Jonathan Mayo (analyst) and Ruben Amaro Jr. (analyst) on the call.
The American and National League rosters are made up of players from the Glendale Desert Dogs (CIN, CWS, LAD, PHI, STL), Mesa Solar Sox (ATH, BOS, CHI, LAA, TB), Peoria Javelinas (ATL, MIA, MIL, SD, SEA), Salt River Rafters (ARI, COL, MIN, NYY, WSH), Scottsdale Scorpions (DET, NYM, PIT, SF, TOR), and Surprise Saguaros (BAL, CLE, HOU, KC, TEX).
Roberto Mercado (Baltimore Orioles) of the Surprise Saguaros will manage the American League and Andy Schatzley (Los Angeles Angels) of the Mesa Solar Sox will manage the National League, along with their respective coaching staffs. In the “The Fall Stars Final 2 Vote” campaign, fans added an additional player for each Fall Stars team. Peyton Williams (Toronto Blue Jays)is the American League’s final selection and Leodalis De Vries (San Diego Padres)is the National League’s last player selected to complete the Fall Stars rosters.

In addition to the “Fall Stars” rosters, the Arizona Fall League Home Run contest is back for the third consecutive year as part of “Fall Stars Weekend.” The Home Run contest will take place at 6:30 p.m. MT (8:30 p.m. ET) tonight at Sloan Park and will be live streamed on //mlb.com/arizona-fall-league.

Prior to the Fall Stars Game, young fans are invited to join the Arizona Fall League and Major League Baseball as they host a PLAY BALL event on Saturday. The PLAY BALL experience, which is a free introductory baseball/softball event for kids from the ages of 5-10, will be led by some of MLB’s top prospects playing in the AFL. This event will start at 9:00 am on Saturday, November 9th at Sloan Park in Mesa, AZ. For registration, parents are encouraged to sign-up at //www.playball.org/events prior to the event. Day-of registration opens at 8:30 am and availability is subject to change.
