Are the Miami Dolphins For Real?

Monte Perez

The 5-1 Miami Dolphins will travel to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the 5-1 Eagles.
This is a matchup between two quarterbacks who know each other very well. Jalen Hurts was benched
in Alabama for Tua Tagovailoa. Hurts played out the season and transferred to Oklahoma the following
year.
The Dolphins offense is on pace to set numerous NFL records. Tagovailoa leads the league in passer
rating (114.1), yards passing (1,876) and yards per attempt (9.7). He’s the only quarterback in the NFL
this season to post a 90-plus passer rating in all six games. They are also averaging 505.7 yards per
game, with 181.8 yards coming on the ground each week. After posting 162 yards rushing Sunday,
Miami has rushed for at least 140 yards as a team in the last five games.
Rahem Mostert has 11 touchdowns this season. Going into Sunday that was more touchdowns than
these teams.
 10 TD’s, Bengals, Falcons, Raiders, Saints.
 9 TD’s, Buccaneers.
 8 TD’s, Browns, Jets, Patriots, Titans.
 6 TD’s Giants, Steelers.

In just six games Tyreek Hill has 42 catches for 814 yards and 6 touchdowns. He is on pace to break
former Detroit Lions WR, Calvin Johson’s record set in 2012 with 1,964 receiving yards.
The Eagles are coming off a bad loss to the New York Jets, 20-14. Star defensive lineman, rookie Jalen
Carter returns to their lineup. Philadelphia’s defense is ranked 2 nd in the NFL, only giving up 65.8 yards
per game on the ground.
This will be a great litmus test for both teams. It’s a matchup that we could see again in this year’s Super
Bowl.
Sunday Night, NBC, 8:20 PM
This is a must watch.
