Six teams from the American sit at 2-0 through two weeks of the season. The only other conferences with at least six 2-0 teams are the ACC (eight), the Big 12 (seven), the Big Ten (14) and the SEC (12). No other conferences have more than two 2-0 teams.
Teams from the American are a combined 2-2 against the Big Ten and SEC. Those conferences are a combined 55-5 against all other opponents.
