EAST CAROLINA STREAKING
East Carolina has started off the season with their best start since 2016, winning their first seven matches of the season. The seven straight wins is tied for the longest streak in the nation. The Pirates will have the weekend off but will return to action next Tuesday at South Carolina.
SOUTH FLORIDA RECEIVING VOTES
Following an impressive weekend featuring wins against No. 10 Florida and Ohio State, the South Florida Bulls are now receiving votes in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Coaches Poll.
BULLS IMPRESSIVE WEEKEND
South Florida swept last weekend with five-set wins over No. 10 Florida and (RV) Ohio State, while sweeping Southern Indiana. It marks the first time since 1990 that the Bulls have defeated Florida, the first win against the Gators in Gainesville and is the highest ranked win in program history.
GOLDEN HURRICANE HITTING STRIDE
After splitting the first two matches of the season, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane have rattled off five straight wins. Tulsa will open the weekend on Thursday against No. 22 Arkansas at 6:30 p.m. ET in the Reynolds Center before taking on Stephen F. Austin (11 a.m. ET) and Oklahoma (6:30 p.m. ET) on Friday. All games will be available on ESPN+.
WEEKEND FORECAST
American squads will have plenty of opportunity to get ranks wins under their belts this weekend. On Thursday, Wichita State will take on No. 14 Arizona State, while Tulsa takes on No. 22 Arkansas. Saturday will feature Florida Atlantic at No. 21 Florida State, while Sunday features Rice against No. 9 Creighton in Louisville and Wichita State against No. 5 Nebraska in Lincoln.
