American Athletic Conference Announces Men’s Soccer Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s soccer awards for the matches of the week ending Sunday, October 22.

Offensive Player of the Week

Victor Claudel, Sr., F, Florida Atlantic

Claudel helped lead the Owls to a win over in-state rival and 14th-ranked FIU, scoring one goal and assisting on another in the 2-1 win over the Panthers.

Defensive Player of the Week

Logan Longo, Sr., D, Memphis

Longo played 90 minutes in the 4-2 win over Temple, scoring one goal and helping hold the Owls to just four shots on goal.

Goalkeeper of the Week

Rotem Fadida, Sr., G, Florida Atlantic

Fadida led the Owls to a win over No. 14 FIU, finishing with four saves in the net.

Rookie of the Week

Natsuki Ogata, Fr., F, Charlotte

Ogata claims a second straight Rookie of the Week honor, scoring two goals on the week for the 49ers.

Weekly Honor Roll

Filip Jauk, Jr., F, Charlotte

Jauk scored a hat trick for the 49ers in the 7-0 win over Johnson & Wales.

Ian Pilcher, Jr., D, Charlotte

Pilcher scored the game-winning goal against Elon and anchored the backline to three shots on goal allowed.

Noah Kvifte, Jr., F, Florida Atlantic

Kvifte scored the game-winning goals for the Owls in the win over No. 14 FIU.

Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos, Jr., M, Memphis

Rodrigues dos Santos scored one goal and assisted on three more to help the Tigers beat Temple 4-2.

Ajmeer Spengler, Sr., M, South Florida

Spengler scored two goals in a 2-1 win over UAB, while adding an assist in a 3-2 win over Stetson.
