INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – For the third consecutive year, the Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Swimming team will take home the NCAA Division II National Championship. Led by Head Coach Ben Hewitt, the Sharks were in a tight battle with Drury down to the final event of the meet. Heading into the final event, the Sharks trailed the Panthers 437-435; then the group of Zsofia Kurdi, Emilia Ronningdal, Maria Goncalves, and Maya Esparza set a new NSU and SSC record in the 400 Freestyle Relay en route to winning the individual national title and clinching the program’s third consecutive championship.
Overall, the Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Swimming team earned three individual NCAA national championships.

Team Scores

(Women’s)
- Hailey Williams placed fourth in the 1650 Free with a time of 16:31.78.
- Kristina Orban secured second in the 100 Free, with a NSU record-breaking time of 48.63. Zsofia Kurdi also made the podium, placing seventh with a time of 49.94.
- May Lowy captured fourth in the 200 Back with a time of 1:57.56.
- With a time of 2:13.63, Claire Gass placed fifth in the 200 Breast.
- The group of Zsofia Kurdi, Emilia Ronningdal, Maria Goncalves, and Maya Esparza captured the National Championship in the 400 Free Relay. With their time of 3:19.09, the group set a new NSU and SSC record.

- Luca Alessandrini took fifth in the 1650 Free with a time of 15:19.88.
- Gavin Lindley placed eighth in the 100 Free with a time of 43.29.
- In the 200 Breast, Inigo Marina secured sixth with a time of 1:57.08.

The NCAA Division II NCAA National Championship win by Nova Southeastern concludes the 2024-25 season.
