The City of Oakland Park is offering an update on the splash pad at City Park. It’s currently out of service, but city personnel are working hard to get it back up and running as quickly as possible. Oakland Park’s service provider faced some challenges finding the necessary parts, but the good news is that they’ve been located and ordered. It will take about six to eight weeks for them to arrive. The city administration has offered an apology for the inconvenience.
Oakland Park has welcomed Bushwick Lounge to Oakland Park! At 4812 North Dixie Highway, Bushwick is where one can savor wonderful food and drinks and feel Latin vibes like never before.
A team of dedicated volunteers came together earlier this month to spruce up the American Legion Post 222 on Dixie Highway. These selfless residents gave up part of their weekend to enhance our local post, showcasing the true spirit of Oakland Park. The city gave special thanks to Gary from the local band Spare Change, who brought his own pressure washer and ladders.
