JAGUARS HEAD COACH DOUG PEDERSON
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2022

(On if QB Trevor Lawrence will play) “It just depends on how he feels today. He’s studied all week. He’s
got a ton of mental reps out on the field. He’s played, obviously, a lot of football already this year, so
yeah, I think if he can get out there and move around and feel comfortable, he should be fine.”
(On the availability of LB Chad Muma and S Andre Cisco) “Same thing. We’ve got to get through today.
Today and tomorrow, really, to see where Chad is. We’ll get him up. Cisco has been practicing and been
doing well. He’s obviously trending in the right direction. Chad’s another one we’ve got to get up and
see that today.”
(On if WR Zay Jones’ chest issue is cleared up) “I think he’s feeling better. Talking to him yesterday, he
had a good day yesterday and, again, keeps heading in the right direction. We’ll just try to limit any kind
of touches or contact around him right now, but he’s been feeling good.”
(On if QB Trevor Lawrence will play based on how his toe feels or if he will play and they want to see
how the pain is at practice) “It’s going to be his kind of peace of mind, quite honestly. Can he play
through it? It’s going to be sore just like anybody’s injuries this time of year. He’s obviously a tough guy.
He wants to play, wants to be out there. I think these next couple days I think, for him I think will
probably ease any kind of tension that he might have going into the game.”
(On how often quarterbacks get their toes stepped on in games) “It happens. It’s not often, but you can
get a guard, maybe a center that steps back and could step on it. It’s obviously a possibility. Could
happen.”
(On how to make sure the team comes out with a high energy level this week) “I just think the nature of
this game. AFC South, Tennessee Titans, on the road, we haven’t played there, played well there I
should say. If you can’t get up for these games, you need to find something else to do, I think. These are
the ones you love to play in.”
