Two new apartment towers are coming to downtown Hollywood.
The Hollywood City Commission has granted preliminary approval for the plan by developer BTI Partners. The vote was unanimous. A final vote will take place in late August.
These twin and luxury apartment buildings are now known as B57 North and B57 South. When complete, they will be 400 feet tall and improve the stature of Hollywood’s Young Circle. They will be built in an area that has been considered rundown. The project will cost about $555 million and will include 856 apartments. A pedestrian skybridge will connect the two towers on the second level.
The buildings will also include high quality restaurants, stores and office space. They are expected to bring people to the downtown area.
Hollywood Vice Mayor Carly Shuham said she is excited about the project. She believes it will attract more people to the downtown area.
The south tower will be built first and groundbreaking is expected in June 2023. Construction will likely take two years. Construction on the north tower will begin in June 2024 and will likely be complete by 2026. Both towers will have 35 stories.
The south tower will have 455 apartments and include restaurants, bars and stores. The north tower will include 401 apartments with space for stores and offices. Each building will have a parking garage.
