Pompano Beach Seafood Festival brings thousands of people together for food, music and fun

Thousands of people came together in Pompano Beach at Community Park to enjoy the Pompano Beach Seafood Festival, a favorite annual event in the city. There were plenty of bands, all types of seafood and clothing and art vendors.

Christine Vanbus Kirk of the Soroptimist was selling various drinks. “The money we raise today will go toward helping women and girls,” she said. “We provide scholarships for young women.”

Robert Repass of the Pompano Beach Lighthouse Rotary was selling a wide variety of drinks, “We are having fun and raising money for good causes,” he said.

There were many bands including Spread the Rub, Crazy Fingers, Big Harvest, Valerie Tyson, Forever Young and many others.

Tami Collins of Elegant Eatz was selling a wide variety of seafood items. Many of the dishes were based on fried rice. “We have shrimp, crab and other seafood items. This is awesome,” she said.

Jay Perez a major food vendor was selling fried seafood and grilled seafood. He was selling a huge variety of seafood items. “This is a good event for us. There are many people here and we have plenty of good food,” he said.

The Seafood Festival is a very popular and well attended event in Pompano Beach.
