The City of Pompano Beach will celebrate high school graduations with driving parades on Thursday, May 27th at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 3rd at 5:00 p.m. For many seniors, graduation is a day they look forward to for years, however, the pandemic continues to impact high school graduation traditions. Blanche Ely High School and Pompano Beach High School will be participating in two separate driving parades. Pompano Beach High School: On Thursday, May 27th at 7:00 p.m., Pompano Beach High School students will have a motor[1]parade around their school as faculty, friends, family, and members of the community wave and cheer. The route will run from N.E. 18th Avenue south making a right onto N.E. 4th Street, and ending at the end of N.E. 13th Avenue. Pompano Beach High School students and parents are asked to join the parade line inside Pompano Community Park located at 660 N.E. 10th Street no later than 6:30 p.m.
Those wishing to join school staff and City of Pompano Beach officials as they cheer on the graduates, can park along the route to wave and cheer as students and parents pass by to make this a fun and festive milestone during this time. Blanche Ely High School: On Thursday, June 3rd at 5:00 p.m., Blanche Ely High School students will have a motor-parade around their school as faculty, friends, family, and members of the community wave and cheer. The route will run from NW 9th Ave north to NW 10th Street making a left onto N.W. 6th Avenue, ending on N.W. 15th Street.
