Pompano Beach City Hall will reopen and Stoneman Douglas baseball

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas baseball team just defeated Miami Christopher Columbus 3-2 to qualify for the state championship game tomorrow. Douglas is considered to be one of the best high school baseball teams in the nation.

After approximately 14 months of working together to slow the spread of COVID-19,

The City of Pompano Beach is pleased to announce that City Hall and all City facilities will reopen to the public on Monday, June 14th after being closed for more than a year to slow the spread of COVID-19.

City Commission Meetings will begin to be held in-person starting Tuesday, June 8th. Community Redevelopment Agency and all other City Advisory Board Meetings will also begin to be held in[1]person. “I’d like to thank our front-line workers who risked their own well-being to care for COVID-19 patients,” said Mayor Rex Hardin. “City employees worked food drives, continue to work vaccination sites and kept our City running smoothly during this unprecedented time.” As we continue to adjust to the changing public health guidelines and re-opening procedures, the health and safety of the public and our employees remains our top priority.”
